🌍 QCPD Does | Financing the SDGs in a Fragmented World Yesterday, QCPD attended a timely and forward-looking Global Policy Dialogue hosted by #UN #DESA, titled “From Sevilla to 2030: Financing the SDGs in a More Fragmented World.” This classroom-focused discussion builds on the 2026 Financing for Sustainable Development Report, one year after the #Sevilla Commitment, at a critical juncture for the 2030 Agenda. 🎙️ The dialogue, gathering participants from all over the world, unpacked key findings from the report and brought together leading voices to explore how renewed global commitments can translate into concrete, scalable action in an increasingly complex international landscape. Key reflections included: • The SDG financing gap remains a central challenge, requiring urgent, coordinated efforts to unlock both public and private investment. • Debt vulnerabilities continue to constrain development pathways, calling for systemic responses and more equitable solutions. • Reform of the international financial architecture is critical to better reflect current global realities and support sustainable development. • Private sector engagement plays a pivotal role, yet must be aligned with long-term sustainability and accountability frameworks. • Multilateral cooperation is under pressure, making inclusive and accessible policy dialogues more essential than ever. 🗣️ For QCPD, these discussions highlight the importance of bridging policy, pragmatic realities, and human rights — ensuring that development efforts remain grounded in equity, accountability, and global solidarity, particularly in a fragmented environment. #QCPDdoes #SDGs #FinancingForDevelopment #GlobalGovernance #HumanRights #2030Agenda #UN #Multilateralism #DevelopmentFinance #PolicyDialogue #GlobalEconomy #SustainableDevelopment #ThinkTank #PublicPolicy #Equity #GlobalCoordination
