At Pure DC, we believe the digital infrastructure that underpins our future needs to be built alongside trusted, long-term relationships with the customers and communities we serve. As the UK seeks to unlock the economic potential of AI and digital technologies, it is essential that the infrastructure supporting this growth is developed responsibly. Achieving this will require continued collaboration between industry, policymakers and local communities to ensure innovation, sustainability and economic growth go hand in hand. These themes were central to last week's Environmental Audit Committee session on the future of data centres in the UK, where Dame Dawn Childs joined representatives Matthew Evans from techUK, Oliver Hayes from Global Action Plan, Christina Christopoulou from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Steen Stewart from Crown Hosting Data Centres, and Michael Birtwistle from Ada Lovelace Institute to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the sector. The discussion explored the critical role data centres will play in enabling the UK's digital future, while highlighting the importance of sustainable development, energy resilience and community engagement as the sector continues to grow. #DataCentres #AIInfrastructure #DigitalInfrastructure
