An absolute privilege to have Ross McGill leading our Professional Development Day today. I’ve followed and implemented his strategies since I first started teaching back in 2013, so it was inspiring to learn directly from him. Ross delivered an engaging and insightful session on cognitive overload and retrieval strategies, giving our staff valuable, evidence-based tools to enhance teaching and learning. Fantastic to see so many colleagues inspired and taking away practical ideas to embed in their classrooms. Looking forward to the next two days of professional development! We then had Grace Jackson leading trauma informed practice with our staff in the afternoon. Staff had an informative and interactive session on strategies and principles around TIP. What a great end to a very busy term!
