Impact entrepreneurship just had its OMR moment. 📸 Last night, the Social Impact Republic hosted its first ever side event at OMR, and a group of founders, investors, and impact-curious minds packed into Körber Start-Hub in Hamburg to wrestle with one question: how do you scale social impact? Five startups took the stage: 🎤 Yakady - Tamanna Assad, Johannes Lippold Making legal rights accessible to everyone, because having rights means nothing if you don't know how to use them. 🎤 DigitalSchoolStory - Elliot Belmadani Turning students into storytellers through social media formats in the classroom, pitched by someone who went through the program himself. 🎤 valueverde - Nathanael Meyer Making energy cooperatives digital so anyone can invest in renewable energy projects. 🎤 ReDI School - Johanna Scheer Free tech education for newcomers and underserved communities, scaling digital inclusion across Germany. 🎤 FORMALL - Immaculata Nguyên Making German bureaucracy understandable for migrants, refugees, and international professionals, built by founders who grew up filling out their parents' paperwork. What these founders brought to the stage was exactly why the Social Impact Republic exists: impact doesn’t have to be a nice-to-have bolted onto a business model. It is the business model. And it scales. The idea of having to choose between impact and growth is outdated. These founders proved that you can do both. After the pitches, the room opened up for food, drinks, and conversations that don't happen when impact stays in its own bubble. Discussions about what the future holds, what founders are building, and people asking “how can I get involved?” Not long ago, the Social Impact Republic was just an idea, and last night it was a packed room at OMR. That was just a year of building the Social Impact Republic, and we can’t wait to see where the next year takes us. Huge thanks to Cornelius Gesing, Mustafa Eren and the team at Körber Start-Hub for opening their doors and making the evening possible. To Nik Riesmeier and Founders Foundation gGmbH, and Michael Stockerl and UnternehmerTUM for being in this from day one. To Dominique Breuer and OMR for the partnership that brought impact into the OMR ecosystem. And to every founder, investor, and curious mind who showed up on a Monday evening and made the room what it was. If you were there, thank you. If you weren't, we’ll see you at the next one. #OMR #SocialInnovation #ImpactEntrepreneurship
