You can become co-owner of a solar farm for β¬50. A cooperative share with one vote, annual dividends, real impact. π± So why does almost nobody know this exists? Nathanael Meyer of valueverde thinks the answer is infrastructure. The cooperatives exist. The willingness of private citizens to invest exists (the Heinrich-BΓΆll-Stiftung European Union | Global Dialogue, Brussels puts the number at β¬176 billion). What didn't exist was a simple way to find, compare, and join them digitally. That's what valueverde built. But this episode isn't just about the product. It's about a deeper question the impact world doesn't talk about enough: why are we so uncomfortable with money? Nathanael calls it out directly. Impact founders build businesses that could redirect billions toward the energy transition, but the moment you say "we need β¬50 million in transaction volume to be profitable," people in impact circles look at you sideways. The way Nathanael sees it, in traditional finance, β¬50 million is a small fund. 24 cooperatives on the platform (and counting). Average investor age: 36. And 70% had never invested in a cooperative before. This isn't incremental growth. It's a new audience discovering a model that's been waiting for them. Oh, and you might notice something different about this episode. π Check the photo. We'll just leave that there for now. Stay Tuned. π§ Link to the full episode in the comments! #ImpactRunde #PublicValue #ValueVerde #EnergyTransition
