Last week’s visit to the ABB B&R factory 🇦🇹 was a great example of what modern automation looks like when it’s implemented end-to-end—and built for scale. A few innovations that really stood out: • Autonomous transport enabling smooth internal material flow • Automated motherboard testing strengthening quality and repeatability • Magnetic transport delivering fast, precise movement in production • Automated warehouse systems improving speed, traceability and availability This visit also marked the kick-off of our cooperation between ABB B&R and ABB Automation Data & Analytics. These solutions don’t just automate processes—they continuously generate data. Together, we want to convert that data into operational impact: transparency across the flow, faster root-cause analysis, higher quality, and continuous performance optimization. -including predictive maintenance by combining IoT data with operational and quality signals to prevent issues before they happen.
