Germany is out, surprisingly beaten by Paraguay. Which means we won't see them in adidas at a major tournament again for the time being. We shot this campaign for the German national kit in Istanbul, as part of the World Cup-trilogy we produced for SNIPES. A strange place for a Germany kit you might say, until you remember that Gündoğan is both German and Turkish. He played 82 games for the national team, but still carried out his Turkish identity throughout his life and career. Because why choose, when you can be both? And that’s the whole point we want to make: identity can't be defined by borders.
