Prosper is proud to support a new industry charter setting out how Scotland can deliver world-leading green data centres - aligning economic growth with net zero ambitions. Launched alongside partners including Apatura, Ravenscraig, Heat Network Scotland and REA (the Renewable Energy Association), the Delivering Green Data Centres in Scotland charter establishes five core principles covering renewable energy, energy efficiency, water use, district heat integration and community benefit. This is about getting ahead of growing global demand for data infrastructure — while ensuring developments are sustainable, locally beneficial, and fully integrated into Scotland’s energy system. At Prosper, we are focused on making sure emerging industries deliver real value: supporting jobs, supply chains and regional growth, and strengthening the transition to a low-carbon economy. As a new Prosper member, Apatura has played a key role in bringing this charter forward — highlighting both the opportunity and the responsibility to develop this critical infrastructure the right way. Scotland has the natural advantages and expertise to lead in this space. Collaboration should ensure we do it sustainably and at scale. https://lnkd.in/dS5XGazd
