𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗲, 𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀: 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘇𝗲𝗿𝗼. Picture a security operator staring at 200 alerts an hour, knowing that nine out of ten will turn out to be nothing. The camera does its job and captures everything in front of it, but the real limitation is that without range and velocity data, the system cannot tell what it is actually looking at. Fog rolls over an industrial yard, headlights flare and wash out the frame, a drone slips across the perimeter at night, and in every one of those moments the camera is effectively blind, and no amount of on-device AI can compensate. That is exactly what radar brings to the table. In our new article, we break down how mmWave radar and video work as one system, covering the micro-Doppler signatures that separate a drone from a bird, the three integration architectures we work with, and a real project where false alarms dropped to near zero without touching the existing camera fleet. ✅ The outcome: 100+ meter detection range, all-weather reliability, and around 70% lower operator workload.
