A North American home energy provider had reached the ceiling of their existing power inverter. The hardware worked, but its functionality was too narrow to carry the next generation of devices, and the team needed a controller that could also serve as an internal prototyping platform. We joined as a dedicated #FPGA engineer inside the client's infrastructure and GitHub, and rebuilt the architecture around Lattice Semiconductor ECP5, an ultra-low-power FPGA well suited to power-electronics workloads. The design covers PWM gate driver control, real-time acquisition from voltage and current sensors, and memory-mapped access between firmware and FPGA resources, all under one architecture the client can carry forward across their full home power plant lineup. ๐งท Read the full case study, or contact us if your power electronics roadmap is held back by the limits of your current hardware: https://lnkd.in/dAy8B7sZ #FPGAdesign #Lattice #PowerElectronics #PromwadCase
