Thatโ€™s the situation LYNXTechnik AG, a German company that designs high-quality products for professional A/V and broadcasting, faced during the development of a broadcasting fibre transceiver. The device was originally built on Intel FPGA. But component shortages forced a fast migration to Lattice CrossLink-NX in the middle of an active production cycle. At the same time, the required dev boards were difficult to source. Promwad helped migrate the platform to Lattice Semiconductor, secured the required hardware through our partner network, and developed #FPGA firmware for optical data transmission, serial interfaces, and GPI communication over fibre. The devices went into production on schedule and support signal transmission over distances up to 40 km.
