Three things he brought home: • The sector is making extraction faster, not dismantling it. AI is lubricating a decades-old dynamic in which data flows up, but rarely back. • Safe and trustworthy are not the same thing. The conversation around governance is maturing, but still conflating security with rigor. • The sector has a narrow chance to build its own infrastructure — practitioner-centered, well-governed, causally rigorous.
