Another inspiring judging session completed for the Pro Carton Young Designers Award 2026! 🎨📦 Each year, the PCYDA brings together talented young designers from across Europe to showcase fresh ideas, creative thinking, and innovative approaches to sustainable packaging. Following this session, we would like to extend a thank you to our judges. Our judges represent a wealth of experience from across the packaging value chain, spanning design, innovation, sustainability, marketing, communications, and brand development. • Elisa Chiminello – Marketing professional at Lucaprint Spa with a passion for authentic brand storytelling and strategic communication. Combining a curious and action-oriented mindset with expertise in digital and traditional marketing, Elisa helps brands strengthen their identity, create value, and build meaningful relationships through effective communication. • Chiara Bordignon – Designer at Lucaprint and graduate in Industrial Design from Università Iuav di Venezia. With experience in graphic design, photography, packaging, branding, and web design, Chiara brings a creative and multidisciplinary perspective to every project. Her curiosity and passion for continuous learning have led her to work with international brands across multiple markets. • Heidi Vanspauwen – Marketing & Communications Director at Van Genechten Packaging. With more than 25 years of experience in the packaging industry, Heidi is dedicated to promoting creative, innovative, and sustainable packaging solutions. As a strong advocate for responsible design and collaboration, she is passionate about encouraging the next generation of packaging professionals. • Krzysztof Krajewski – Chief Sustainability & Innovation Officer at RDM Group. A recognised leader in sustainable packaging, Krzysztof drives innovation in recyclable materials and ESG strategies, helping to create packaging solutions that deliver both environmental and business value across global markets. • Andreas Macku – Innovation Director at MM Packaging Food & Specialities. With more than 30 years of experience in packaging innovation, Andreas has played a key role in advancing new packaging concepts and technologies, bringing deep technical expertise and industry insight to the judging process. • Satkar Gidda – Branding and Design Consultant and Chair of the Jury. With a career spanning more than three decades in sales, marketing, branding, and packaging design, Satkar brings a unique perspective on how packaging creates value for brands and consumers alike. • Sanjeev Das – Global Packaging Director, Foods and Ice Cream, at Unilever. A packaging engineer with over 20 years of international experience, Sanjeev is a passionate advocate for packaging that combines design, sustainability, technology, and consumer experience.
