📄 Connecticut follows California’s DELETE act to become the 2nd state that requires data brokers to register for a universal consumer data deletion mechanism. Under the newly amended state privacy law, all data brokers must register with Connecticut by January 1, 2027, and Connecticut can impose civil penalties of up to $200 per day per consumer deletion request that is not honored. The new law also prohibits "surveillance pricing" based on personal data gathered through device tracking.
