"𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐫 𝐔𝐂𝐋 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐧 𝟖𝟎% 𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞."  - 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫 I’m very glad I didn’t take that advice. Around this time last year, I wrapped three years of undergrad hard work into six applications, tied a hopeful bow around them, and hit submit. Months later, the results came back: offers from UCL, Imperial College London, King's College London, The University of Edinburgh, University of Glasgow, and University of Leeds. Today, I’m excited to share that I started my MSc in Cell, Gene & Novel Therapies at UCL this September — and what a transformative few months it has been. It’s surreal to watch something move from a vision-board dream to a real next step. I’m grateful I pushed through the doubts and even more grateful I didn’t let someone else’s expectations define my potential. 𝐈𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈’𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝: a strong application is always more than your transcripts.
