🎉Why No One Talks About Event & Community Culture (But Should)😅 I frequently hear about company culture and am surprised why no one talks about community or event culture😱 Many of us feel it — in the way if we feel comfy somwhere or not — but I haven’t read much about that matter🤓 So what does event or community culture mean? To me, it’s the idea that if you took five people randomly out of one event and placed them into another, they would behave differently‼️ Events that recently did a great job at creating a positive culture were: 🤖TECH by Handelsblatt in Heilbronn (Great Job Jan Kleibrink & Team!) Even though many C-levels were there, most were on a first-name basis (“per Du”) and there were few signs of arrogance or hostility💗 Another example — and the reason I even travel into Frankfurt just for the event — are the Finfluencer Circle events of Superconnector Birgit Hass. Yesterday’s edition at Burg Kronberg focused on art with Stefanie Hubbard-Ford. You go there, and it just feels nice🖼️🏰 Here are some indicators of a great event or community culture👇 🥰you feel good and safe 🧘‍♀️low social anxiety; you feel relaxed 🚫little to no arrogance or hostility 🤝conversations and actions focus on collaboration and mutual support instead of competition ❤️deep conversations, not just business talk 🔋you leave energized and inspired Often there is focus on location, decoration, speakers, food etc,… however the above is what makes or breaks an event!
