📢 Acciaieria Arvedi is the first steel producer in the world to receive a “net-zero CO2 emissions” certification. Primetals Technologies is proud to have contributed to this achievement by supplying cutting-edge #greensteel technologies, such as the EAF Ultimate and ESP. 📄 According to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Acciaieria Arvedi has reached a significant milestone 28 years before the 2050 target set by European Commission on decarbonization. 📜 RINA, a third-party certification company verifying net-zero CO2 emissions, calculating both direct and indirect emissions, granted the certificate. 📣 Cavalier Giovanni Arvedi stated, “Acciaieria Arvedi is a point of reference for the world, thanks to the strategies developed 30 years ago, including focusing on flat steel production based on EAF cycle, which was unique in Europe at the time.” By supplying state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, Primetals Technologies contributed significantly to reducing power consumption in meltshops, and, of course, pioneering Arvedi Endless Strip Production technology with Giovanni Arvedi. 🌳 Today, Arvedi ESP is the only technology for thin slab casting and rolling with zero direct CO2 emissions.
