Time flies when you're having fun!   As of this June, it's officially been 3 months since Patrick and Darby joined the team, and we've decided to sit down with them to ask about their experience at Primary so far. What have you guys enjoyed the most since joining the team? P: The farm trip in my first week was definitely interesting but enjoyable. D: Well, I was a week too late for that, so I believe another is due... D: I think learning about the wide variety of events that Primary offers and getting to work on the early stages of them has been really interesting. P: And the copious amount of birthday cakes. D: Oh yeah, of course, we've enjoyed the cake. What's surprised you the most? D: I'd say I've surprised myself with how quickly I've adapted to the role, as although I've worked in events before, I've always been venue-based, other than in an agency and planning role. P: Yeah, I think I've managed to adapt to the role a lot quicker than I was expecting; however, the occasional chaos and weird chat definitely surprised me. D: Oh yeah, I 100% wasn’t expecting an office chat this chaotic sometimes P: But it makes the days exciting. Tell me about some challenges you've faced. P: I'll be honest, some of the technology is new to me, so answering technical queries, especially when live on hybrid events, was challenging in moments, but I always managed to keep a calm head and sort it out. D: Well, I mean, getting lost in the woods on an event was crazy, but I mean, hey I'm here, so it couldn’t have been that bad. Just maybe don’t put me in charge of reading maps. And finally, what are you guys excited about in the future? P: In November, I've got a solo trip to Edinburgh for an exhibition stand, which I think will be really cool. D: I'm excited for a big expo in Manchester. P: Yeah, that'll be fun, it’s the first event where a group of us are going on-site together. D: Exactly, I love Manchester, and I'm really excited about the dinner theme proposal I made, so I'm very intrigued to hear the client's feedback on that one.
