On this day, 82 years ago, the north face of the Eiger, 🇨🇭, considered amongst the most challenging and dangerous ascents, was first climbed by Anderl Heckmair, Ludwig Vörg, Heinrich Harrer and Fritz Kasparek in a German–Austrian expedition.
