This week at #ILABerlin26, Pratt & Whitney Canada is showcasing advancements in hybrid-electric propulsion technology for the future of regional aviation. The scale model of the Clean Aviation PHARES propulsion system features an advanced PW127 derivative turboprop engine with a 250kW electric motor and controller from Collins Aerospace. The program is targeting 20% improved fuel efficiency for regional aircraft missions. PHARES is the first Clean Aviation project led by a Canadian company and exemplifies our strong collaboration across European industry including Collins, ATR, our Pratt & Whitney team in Poland and research partners. Watch to discover the technology in action through our interactive OLED screen and digital application, designed to bring our engine model to life. Also included is our Clean Aviation SWITCH program, one of multiple technology demonstrator projects at RTX.
