Frequently used terms in Revenue Cycle Management for Healthcare: 1. Inpatient Care- Inpatient care is care provided in a hospital or other type of inpatient facility, where you are admitted, and spend at least one night, sometimes more ,depending on your condition. 2. Outpatient Care- Here you don’t have to stay in a hospital. Outpatient care may be provided in a hospital, as well as a walk-in clinic, an outpatient surgery center, and even in your doctor’s office. These may be diagnostic tests, treatments, or other types of procedures. 3. Account Receivables- Accounts receivable refer to the money an organization's(here hospital's) customers(here patients) owe for goods or services(here procedures) they have received but not yet paid for.
