Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally escalate a serious service issue regarding the delay in issuance of a bank guarantee of ₹1,00,000 at your branch of City Union Bank. Despite multiple visits to the branch over the past several days, there has been no concrete action taken. The Branch Manager, Mr. Gurunath (Contact: 9542958483), has repeatedly cited staff shortages and internal transitions as reasons for the delay. However, such internal operational challenges cannot be justified as a reason for failing to deliver basic banking services to customers. We were initially assured that the bank guarantee would be processed within 7–10 days. It has already been over 10 days, and we are now being asked to wait an additional 10 days with no clear commitment or timeline. This reflects a complete lack of accountability, poor service management, and disregard for customer urgency. It is extremely concerning that: No proper response or ownership has been taken by the branch Previous employees failed to initiate or process the request Current staff are unwilling or unable to handle the requirement The branch is effectively non-operational for critical services like bank guarantees This delay is directly impacting our business operations and causing unnecessary inconvenience and potential financial loss. If this issue is not resolved immediately, we will be compelled to: Escalate the matter to higher regulatory authorities Reconsider and withdraw our banking relationship with your institution Share our experience formally across relevant business and public platforms We request immediate intervention from Head Office to: Process and issue the bank guarantee without any further delay Investigate the functioning of the concerned branch Ensure such negligence is not repeated in the future Kindly treat this matter as urgent and confirm action at the earliest.
