This reference design (RDK‑1090) demonstrates how a TinySwitch‑5 device can minimize the cost and design complexity of a 12 W isolated flyback converter. Thanks to the innovative control mechanism inside the TinySwitch-5 IC, it achieves ±5% voltage regulation with a simple Zener-diode feedback circuit, as well as 87% efficiency at full load and higher than 83% even at 10% load.
