"As Executive Director of #PostcardArtExhibit26 I had the privilege of seeing up close every art card. Earlier this year, I selected my 5 personal favorites to be featured with full pages in our 15th Anniversary print catalog. These are 6 are additional works that, for one reason or another, have continued to tug at my heart—and somehow they're still waiting for a forever home as we enter the final hours of our online sale." - Carole Gray-Weihman Carolyn Hassard @skookmarm – "I am Still Here" - This piece speaks to resilience. I love the way the abstract layers seem to reveal a quiet figure emerging from within. To me, it's about perseverance, identity, and finding strength after life's storms. Anette Power – "California Haze" - The atmosphere is what captivates me. It feels like the magical moment when the golden, California hazy light softens the landscape, and everything slows down. There's such peace in its restraint. Bernard McLaughlin – "Sunset Over Hills Donegal" - A painting that says so much with so little. The delicate glow against the darkening hills reminds me that some of the most beautiful moments happen just before night falls. Dorien De Vos – "Life is Colourful" - Every layer reveals something new, yet it doesn't feel chaotic. It celebrates the beauty that can emerge when many different pieces come together as one. Cedric Malaval – "Belle Môme" - This portrait has extraordinary dignity. The limited palette allows the expression to take center stage, while the warm patterned background surrounds the subject like a quiet halo of light. Lesley Linley @LesleyLinleyArt – "The Cuillin, Skye" - As a landscape painter myself, this one immediately spoke to me. The subtle washes, soft light, and understated beauty capture the feeling of standing before a mountain range in complete silence. With fewer than 24 hours remaining, these are the pieces I simply couldn't let the exhibition end without sharing one more time. Every postcard is a one-of-a-kind original artwork donated by an artist from around the world, with proceeds supporting the Museum Beelden aan Zee's Blijft je Bij (Unforgettable) program for people living with Alzheimer's and dementia and their loved ones.
