The Rose Quarter and Moda Center recently celebrated several major sustainability milestones, as we continue to build more a sustainable and equitable future on and off the court. Moda Center was officially re-certified as a LEED Platinum building, earning 81 points. This is a significant achievement reflecting the continued commitment to environmentally responsible practices across energy, water, waste and building operations. At the 2026 Green Sports Alliance Summit, Moda Center also earned four Play to Zero awards, recognizing leadership in renewable energy, waste diversion, energy reduction and water replenishment initiatives. During Earth Month in April, the Rose Quarter achieved a 97% return rate for the Rip City Reuse program — the highest average return rate in the program’s history. The campus also diverted 86% of waste from landfills through recycling, composting and material reuse efforts. Learn more about our sustainability efforts at https://lnkd.in/eZycMV-Z.
