Congratulations to the recipients of the third round of the Seafarer Welfare Fund, who have secured a share of $500,000 for incredible initiatives that support seafarers visiting ports across NSW.  Seafarers are the invisible workforce behind global trade, spending months at sea away from family and friends. When they arrive in NSW, access to support matters. Announced today at The Mission to Seafarers - Sydney Seafarers Welfare Parliamentary Luncheon, the fund continues to invest in frontline organisations that deliver practical, on-the-ground support for visiting maritime workers. A five-year, $2.5 million agreement between Port Authority, NSW Ports and Port of Newcastle, the fund is strengthening seafarer welfare where it matters most.
