🏆And we have a winner: Port Officer Tilley Murgatroyd is officially the Trainee of the Year!🏆   Taking out the top gong at the NSW Department of Education's 2026 Hunter & Central Coast Training Awards, Tilley began her career through a hands-on traineeship, completing a Certificate II in Maritime Operations with support from HunterNet Career Connections while undertaking rotations with Port Authority, Port of Newcastle and Svitzer.   This experience built real-world capability and vessel handling skills, enabling her to step into the role of Port Officer with confidence.    Well done, Tilley!
