#agilemindset #education #diversityandinclusion In the framework of the 5th Edition of the course of #AdvancedStudies on the #Mediterranean Area: Margherita Perretti, Deputy President, Confindustria Basilicata, talked about the pressing need to build a bridge between school & work, especially in the #Mediterranean regions (much better than those who, after 20+ years of disputes, are still talking about the bridge across the Strait of Messina)! I think the challenge is (at least) twofold in the Mediterranean regions: 1) I agree with Perretti re the necessity of #revising or #innovating the concepts of #education, #vocationaleducationandtraining, & #work - talk of an #agilemindset here - to promote economic & social development by bridging the afore-mentioned gap & avoiding the mismatch of supply of and demand for #laubor, especially with #technicaljobs. 2) I would add it is equally essential to invest in a comprehensive education: more courses on #intercultural #mediation, cultural & religious #diversity to reduce illiteracy & conflicts, to promote the integration of migrants & refugees (granting #asylum is decent but not enough).
