Nächster Halt: Tunneldurchschlag 🚇 Fast genau ein Jahr nach dem letzten Strecken-Durchschlag hat die Tunnelvortriebsmaschine (TVM) „Debohra“ erneut ihr Ziel erreicht: In den frühen Morgenstunden fiel vor kurzem die letzte Wand am Augustinplatz – diesmal für die zweite Streckenröhre der U2-Verlängerung. 🌃  Ein Moment, der sich nicht auf die Minute planen lässt und etwas Besonderes ist – vor allem für jene, die ihn unter der Wiener Oberfläche miterlebt haben. 🤩 Mit dem Durchschlag hat „Debohra“ nun mit Gleis 1 die zweite Streckenröhre zwischen Matzleinsdorfer Platz und Augustinplatz fertiggestellt. Insgesamt hat die TVM damit 4,2 Kilometer Strecke zurückgelegt und dabei 2.850 Bauwerksringe (rund 17.000 Tübbing) verbaut. Ein großes Dankeschön an alle Kolleginnen und Kollegen auf der Baustelle sowie an unsere ARGE-Projektpartner. Mit ihrem Einsatz, ihrer Expertise und ihrem Engagement haben sie diesen Meilenstein möglich gemacht 👏 ___ Next stop: Tunnel breakthrough 🚇 Almost exactly one year after the last tunnel breakthrough, the tunnel boring machine (TBM) “Debohra” has once again reached its target: in the early hours of the morning, the final wall at Augustinplatz was breached – this time for the second tunnel tube of the U2 extension. 🌃 A moment that cannot be planned down to the minute and is something special – especially for those who witnessed it beneath the surface of Vienna. 🤩 With this breakthrough, “Debohra” has now completed the second tunnel tube between Matzleinsdorfer Platz and Augustinplatz, on Track 1. In total, TVM has thus completed 4.2 kilometres of track, installing 2,850 structural rings (around 17,000 tunnel segments) in the process.
