Chicago Business Journal's Inno Under 25 list highlights a new generation of founders proving that age is no barrier to building real traction and two University of Chicago–affiliated entrepreneurs are among this year’s honorees: Avery Linder, cofounder and CEO of 2025 George Shultz Innovation Fund finalist STAC12, is working to commercialize diamond-based quantum and semiconductor technology developed at UChicago, positioning the Midwest as a growing hub for next-generation materials. Matteo Caloia, cofounder of (P)rind, which repurposes parmesan rinds into a nutrient-dense, three-ingredient superfood snack and finished second place in the 2025 New Venture Challenge and was a Polsky Center Launch Accelerator participant.
