This week, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) confirmed that results from the 2025 National Youth Tobacco Survey (NYTS) show youth use of nicotine pouches remained low and stable, at 1.7% in 2025 compared with 1.8% in 2024. These findings reinforce the importance of maintaining robust youth access prevention efforts. At PMI U.S., we remain committed to responsible marketing practices and to working with regulators, retailers, and other stakeholders to help prevent underage access. Tobacco and nicotine products are strictly for adults 21 and older. At the same time, with approximately 25 million U.S. adults still using the most harmful nicotine product—combustible cigarettes—it is also vital to ensure those of legal age have access to clear, accurate information about better alternatives to continued smoking.
