Today, Philip Morris International announced that the FDA has issued Modified Risk Tobacco Product (MRTP) orders for 20 ZYN nicotine pouch products. This makes ZYN the first nicotine pouch product authorized to communicate reduced-risk information to legal-age adults who smoke. The FDA’s decision is an important step in ensuring adults who smoke have access to accurate, science-based information about alternatives to continued cigarette use.
