Last week in Nashville, alongside The Wall Street Journal, we brought together community leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers for a conversation about the future of America’s communities and the ideas shaping what’s next. Nashville was the first stop on Philip Morris International U.S.'s America250 Innovation Tour, highlighting local leaders driving meaningful progress across the country. Led by Christine Kashkari, Host of The Trust (WSJ), the discussion featured PMI U.S.’s Marian Salzman and Elise Cambournac, Founder & CEO of The Catalyst Multiplier. Together, they explored innovation, leadership, and community impact—and the importance of fostering the talent, partnerships, and bold thinking that drive lasting change. That message reinforces the importance of heeding a red flag raised by a new Harris Poll survey commissioned by PMI U.S.: While 76% of Americans say innovation is critical to the nation’s future, 79% believe the country is innovating in the wrong areas. Forums like this help align innovators, leaders, and communities around solutions with real impact. As America approaches its 250th anniversary, PMI U.S. remains committed to investing in the people and ideas helping to shape the country’s next chapter.
