Yesterday, Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism held its City Briefing at Dubai Opera. Record attendance. And a message the industry needed to hear. Issam Kazim laid out three things: how Dubai responded, why the city is resilient, and what happens next. The numbers back it up. AED 2.5 billion committed to supporting the tourism sector. Events that were planned for Q2 are now loaded into Q3 and Q4. Arabian Travel Market moved to September. New initiatives like Summer Restaurant Week launching in July. And the line that stayed with everyone in the room: "We're not pausing, we're preparing for what's next." Events were flagged as one of the keys to Dubai's recovery. From Dubai World Cup to the Primark launch that drew crowds big enough to open three stores in two months. For everyone in the events and entertainment ecosystem, the signal is clear. The second half of 2026 is going to be packed. The infrastructure is there. The support is there. The audience is here. We're ready for it.
