Status update! We would like to share an update on our development of a plastic liquefaction process that produces a steam-cracker drop-in product, “HyOil”, in a single step, catalyzed by non-noble metals. On the product side: -HyOil is stable for months, which is critical for safe transportation. -HyOil has a final boiling point of ~350 °C, making it compatible with steam-cracker feed requirements. -The oxygen content of HyOil is currently 6x lower than comparable pyrolysis oils, with continuous improvements ongoing, enabled by catalysis. On the process side, we have: -Achieved continuous operation, enabled by innovations on both the catalyst and reactor side. -Closed our mass balance to 95%, allowing us to continuously improve performance against clear KPIs. -Identified key improvement areas, with development already underway.
