When one girl returns to learning, an entire community moves forward. For many girls across Rajasthan and Jharkhand, financial hardship and limiting social norms bring education to an early end. Through Balika Shivir, supported by the Z Zurich Foundation, Plan India is helping adolescent girls return to learning, gain life and vocational skills, and build independent futures. Today, those same girls are becoming entrepreneurs, mentors and changemakers, while communities are stepping up to sustain their journey. The numbers tell the story: 7.35 lakh rupees mobilised by women in Udaipur in just two years, and 56.85 lakh rupees mobilised across programme regions over three years to create more opportunities and build sustainable livelihoods for women.
