New command for Chonk for Rhino 8: SamenessMap SamenessMap colors geometry by how often it occurs in a model. Rare geometry appears red, highly repeated geometry appears blue, with a gradient in between. In the video, a multi-unit apartment floor plan starts with a mostly expected repetition pattern. Then two repeating unit layouts are changed slightly. After running SamenessMap again, they immediately stand out as rare geometry. What makes this interesting is that no checking rules need to be defined upfront. The model is compared against itself, using the repetition and structure already present in the building. That makes it a promising way to support model checking and surface unusual conditions in CAD geometry, especially in projects with a lot of repetition.
