Planetek was pleased to contribute to Saudi Water Week and the 7th Arab Water Forum in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Our representative, Gamal Allam, Ph.D, joined an important discussion on water risk management, Nature-Based Solutions, resilience, and capacity building. The Arab region is facing complex water challenges linked to climate change, land degradation, agricultural pressure, urban growth, ecosystem protection, and community resilience. These challenges are complex, and the space technologies that can help address them are also complex. Planetek’s mission is to simplify this complexity: transforming Earth Observation, GeoAI, and satellite data into clear, operational information that supports water resources management and decision-making. The discussion reinforced the importance of public-private partnerships in building local capabilities, connecting downstream applications with advanced space technologies, and developing scalable, locally adapted solutions for water security, environmental monitoring, and resilience. We extend our sincere thanks to CIHEAM Bari and the Arab Water Council (AWC) for their kind invitation, and in particular to CIHEAM Secretary General, Teodoro Miano, for facilitating Planetek’s participation and supporting this meaningful exchange. #ArabWaterWeek #ArabWaterForum #EarthObservation #SaudiArabia
