Southern California is grappling with the warehouse industry's impact on local communities. CBS LA cited research on this topic from Pitzer's Robert Redford Conservancy for Southern California Sustainability. The Conservancy's map shows the rapid expansion of warehouses in Southern California's Inland Empire region from 1981 to 2025. This map is one of many tools in the Conservancy's digital hub, SoCal Earth. SoCal Earth opens access to environmental data and transforms it into action. Students, researchers, policymakers, and neighbors can use the platform to build a thriving, sustainable future.
