New Collaboration in Zambia - For Every Newborn. Leaders from the Healthcare Federation of Zambia, healthcare professionals, clinic representatives, and health stakeholders came together in Lusaka last month for a dissemination event hosted by the Healthcare Federation of Zambia in collaboration with SAICRIO - Southern African Institute for Collaborative Research and Innovation Organisation and Teledoctor Zambia, showcasing our smartphone-based neonatal jaundice screening solution and findings from our Picterus Newborn Health Non-Profit Kapiri District Jaundice project. The event brought together 30+ participants to explore how Picterus supports neonatal jaundice screening across both facility and home settings, while enabling remote access to results for timely follow-up and care. Findings from the Kapiri project highlighted the real potential of digital health innovation to strengthen neonatal care and improve access to early jaundice screening. It was energising to see so many stakeholders aligned around a shared goal: giving every Zambian newborn a healthier start in life.
