🐱 Old clichés in advertising, still genius or just lazy? We recently created an add on a tight deadline. And guess what? We used an old advertising cliché, an animal. Yep, the good old stick a cute cat in there, and people will love it approach. But here’s the thing: do these tricks still work today? Think about it. There was a time when puppies, kittens, and majestic horses ruled advertising. They made us feel something, they caught our attention. But in an era of hyper-personalized content, AI-generated perfection, and audiences who’ve seen it all, do these classic tropes still do the job? Maybe clichés work because they’re familiar. Or maybe they just make us feel like brands aren’t even trying. So let’s be real: 🐾 Do animals in ads still create emotional connections or are they just noise? 🐾 Do they make us remember the brand, or just the fluffy face? 🐾 Are old tricks timeless, or are we stuck in the past? We’re not here to give easy answers. We’re here to challenge the way we all think about advertising. What do you think, are advertising clichés still powerful, or is it time to retire them for good? 👇
