Just a post to revive my LinkedIn page after being quiet for quite some time 😊 Looking back on last quarter, one highlight for me was the opportunity to organise the first session of our Internal Professional Learning Community (PLC) series for the IELTS teaching team at CB Centres, focusing on two key themes: Consistency and Growth. The PLC was conducted across our campuses in Mekong Delta, namely Dong Thap, Vinh Long, and Can Tho, with the active participation of nearly 60 teachers. Through discussions and hands-on activities, we explored what teaching standards look like in practice - from lesson planning and classroom delivery to feedback and assessment alignment. More importantly, we reflected on how small, consistent decisions made by teachers every day can contribute to a more reliable and effective learning experience for students. We also discussed different stages of teacher development, encouraging teachers to identify where they currently are in their professional journey and what they can do to continue growing. One idea that stayed with me throughout the PLC was: "Consistency is not about teaching the same way. It is about maintaining the same standards." Teaching styles may differ. Personalities may differ. Classrooms may look different. However, students should be able to expect the same quality of learning experience regardless of who their teacher is.
