🔬 25 years of machine vision — what actually changed? It all started with a simple question: 👉 how do you build a camera that actually works in industrial applications?   Looking at the feedback on our last post, one thing stood out: many of you have been working with Photonfocus for years — in some cases since the early days. That kind of continuity reflects something important: 👉 solutions built around real applications — by people who understand how these systems perform in practice. Over time, key innovations were developed to address these challenges: • Global Shutter CMOS — distortion-free imaging of fast-moving processes • LinLog® HDR imaging — making extreme contrast measurable • Double Rate — higher speeds over standard GigE without multi-cable setups • Modular camera design — fast adaptation to specific application requirements • NIR and UV imaging — revealing material differences and hidden defects These developments solved real bottlenecks in industrial inspection. ➡️ In the next post, we’ll look at the people behind these developments.
