⚓ The "Tour de France des Ports" organized by Invenio Techs SAS recently dropped its first anchor at Le Havre last week. It provided a fascinating glimpse into the future of industrial connectivity at HAROPA PORT. The key takeaway from the discussions is that for critical infrastructure hubs like ports, we are moving from the experimental phase to the operational deployment of Private Mobile Networks (#PMN). It is about building the digital backbone for the entire port ecosystem. 🚢 Covering an area of 100 km2, the size of central Paris (!), the Port of Le Havre faces a unique connectivity challenge. The goal is to create a coordinated strategy for digital development, ensuring that the available spectrum is used efficiently for the most critical applications, with the ability to prioritize data flows when necessary. 🛠️ In my article below, I detail many of the use cases which were demonstrated at the port. 🤑 I also discuss the business model for the port's wide-ranging ecosystem.
