A look at what my colleagues in The Netherlands have used BESS for in a Farming context! As Theo Vernooij 's pig farm grew, so did the demand for electricity. A heavier grid connection was not an option due to grid congestion. So the challenge was not in generating energy, but in using it smarter. With the existing system of 1,044 solar panels and four Huawei #SUN2000-60KTL-M0 inverters, they have chosen, together with Energie+dak, to install two #Huawei #LUNA2000 battery systems of #215kWh. In this way, excess solar energy is stored and used at times when the company needs it most. A wonderful project that shows how you can still grow despite grid congestion.
