Meet 2025 PGRN Travel Award recipient Mohamed Nagy, RPh, MS, PhD, Pharmacy Director and Founder/Leader of the Personalized Medication Management Unit at Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt (CCHE) 57357. Through his work in pediatric oncology, Mohamed is advancing pharmacogenomics (PGx) and therapeutic drug monitoring to support personalized medication management, with a focus on scaling PGx implementation in resource-constrained settings. He also serves as Chair of the PGRN Global Committee and is a Board Member of the African Pharmacogenomics Network. His story highlights both the challenges and opportunities for PGx in Egypt and across Africa, including the need to strengthen PGx education, expand regional genomic data, and build clinical infrastructure for implementation.
