There’s a particular satisfaction that comes from seeing months of planning, partnership working and communications preparation come together. Last week, the Government and Comcast NBCUniversal announced plans for the Universal United Kingdom Resort in Bedfordshire- a major £5 billion+ investment story with significance for domestic tourism,economic growth, and the UK’s international reputation as a place to do business. I’ve been fortunate to work with talented colleagues across Government and partners at Comcast NBCUniversal on what has been one of the more complex and rewarding communications projects I’ve worked on recently. Announcements of this scale demand aligning multiple organisations, navigating a wide range of stakeholder interests, coordination across government, and delivering a story that connects with audiences in both the UK and internationally takes a huge team effort. I’m very proud of what colleagues across DCMS and our partner organisations have achieved. Seeing the story land across national, regional, trade and international media was a reflection of the expertise, commitment and collaboration of so many people behind the scenes. https://lnkd.in/ehXzudPU
