We recently participated in a series of strategic conversations with PETROVIETNAM, reinforcing more than three decades of collaboration between Malaysia and Vietnam’s national energy companies committed to regional energy security and sustainable growth. Aligned with the Vietnam-Malaysia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, we affirmed our continued cooperation across the energy value chain, spanning upstream, LNG and gas infrastructure, power and renewables, energy trading, digital innovation, talent development, and lower‑carbon solutions such as carbon capture and storage (CCS). Our dialogue reflects a shared focus on resilient growth, disciplined expansion and technology‑enabled performance, while advancing practical decarbonisation pathways. Our parties are currently working to translate this alignment into clear deliverables, including PETRONAS’ net-zero emissions target by 2050 and PETROVIETNAM’s transformation into a national industry-energy group.
