The current ๐ด๐ฒ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ผ๐น๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ in the Middle East are increasingly ๐ถ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ด๐น๐ผ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐นย patternsโand with them, international tourism flows to Europe and Germany. ย The German National Tourist Board is ๐ฐ๐น๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ ๐บ๐ผ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ฝ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ and remains in continuous exchange with its partners worldwide. Supported by a ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ธ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ฒ, we continuously analyse market developments and adapt our global marketing activities with agility. ย Beginning of this week, we engaged in a digital exchange with around 200 representatives from the tourism industry, politics and international organisations, sharing the latest scenarios and forecasts from leading market research institutes. The key takeaways andย ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ด๐๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐๐ฝ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ are now available on our GNTB website ๐๐ผ ๐๐๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ across the tourism ecosystemย ๐https://lnkd.in/dTyeEXVW ย ๐ฃ๐ผ๐๐๐ถ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ผ๐ ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐น๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ: โช๏ธ ๐๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ:ย With a market share of around 77% of Germanyโs incoming tourism, Europe continues to provide stable demand in a volatile market environment. According to the latest Tourism Economics forecast European inbound travel to Germany is projected to grow by +1.9% in 2026 but could also slow to +0.3% in a downside scenario. ย โช๏ธ ๐ข๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ธ๐ฒ๐๐:ย In the same analysis, inbound travel from overseas to Germany is expected to grow by +4.5% year-on-year. However, in a downside scenario, volumes could decline by -9.3%. While several markets show resilience, demand from the GCC is currently under pressure, with forecasts revised to -14% due to reduced connectivity and rising travel costs. ย While current forecasts provide an initial outlook, further developments will depend strongly on how fuel pricesโand in particular the availability of aviation fuelโevolve in the coming months. ย #NextStop: ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐น ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐โข ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ in Oberhausen (19โ21 April), where we will bring together international buyers, media and German tourism partners at the biggest incoming workshop for #DestinationGermany. https://lnkd.in/dvGU8F4c ย Because, especially in challenging times, one thing remains clear: ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐บ ๐๐ต๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ป๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐๐, trust and collaboration.
