1,000 days ago my son Brodie picked up a golf club for the first time. He was 4 - and fell in love with it immediately. This video is what 1,000 days looks like, from then until now. What it doesn't show is how hard it was to get here. Here's the thing - I'm not a golfer. I couldn't fall back on my own game, my own coaching, or a clubhouse network. Every single thing you see here, we had to figure out from scratch, together. And golf does not make that easy. It's an inherently hard game to keep fun for a child. Facilities that welcome young kids are rare. The ones that do often cost a fortune, or come wrapped in rules that suck the joy out of it. So it was trial and error, for 1,000 days. Along the way I built up a playbook I wish someone had handed me on day one. What I'd do again, what I'd skip entirely, which kit was worth the money and which was landfill, and how to keep a small kid progressing without either of us losing the love for it.
